Are you looking for a hands-on/physical career in a high-in-demand field? Bricklayers are responsible for the very foundations of our buildings, which makes them a core role in construction. With Government setting high targets for new build homes, the need for bricklayers has never been higher.
Learn how to lay bricks, blocks, and other types of building components in mortar to construct and repair walls, foundations, partitions, arches, and other structures like chimney stacks. Set yourself up for working on everything from large commercial developments to refurbishment and restoration projects. You may work one-on-one or on larger jobs where your gang is working alongside other bricklaying gangs (or other trades.)
